An Academy rep told E! News, "Due to the nature of a live show, hard decisions sometimes must be made which require the Academy to cut segments due to the logistics of production. Andrew Garfield understood that his segment had to be omitted, and he drove to Disneyland on Monday to spend time with 5-year-old Miles Scott (Batkid) and his family."



This definitely doesn't seem very heroic!

'Spiderman' actor Andrew Garfield was scheduled to present with Miles Scott, the cancer patient who played Batkid for a day with the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Reports claim that Garfield backed out of the segment because he 'didn't like his lines'! 

According to Page Six:

"Andrew Garfield was going to appoint him 'Batkid,'" the insider continued. "But, in the middle of the dress rehearsal, Garfield decided he didn't like his lines."
