A bus driver arrested after the Times Square accident has been released from police custody.
William Dalambert was behind the wheel of the Gray Line bus when it sideswiped another bus, hopped the curb and then slammed into a light pole at West 47th Street and Seventh Avenue.
He was arrested on a driving while ability impaired charge after failing a field sobriety test, but preliminary drug tests came back negative. As a result, Dalambert was released last night.
Prosecutors said they’re waiting for a full toxicology report before moving forward with the case.
Fourteen people were injured in the accident, most of them pedestrians who were hit with flying debris.
