According to sources, ex-NBA player Derek Fisher has accepted the position as new head coach of the New York Knicks.

After a vigorous search, Phil Jackson sought after Fisher, who recently ended his very last season as an player with the Oklahoma City Thunder after being in the NBA for 19 years.

The soon-to-be 40-year-old had accepted the offer and is said to have agreed to a contract stating $25 million for 5 years.
