Two weeks ago on August 11th, a Downtown 'A' train was ordered to let all of the passengers off and go the opposite way as an Uptown train due to train traffic.

The train operator unknowingly headed back Uptown on a Downtown track with passengers still on the train. This began at the Canal Street ACE stop and the operator did not realize their mistake until they almost reached the W. 4th Street stop when they saw headlights coming their direction.

The MTA states that the passengers on the train at the time were in no sort of danger due to trains moving at extremely slow speeds to due traffic.
