Mayor Bloomberg's ban on large sugary drinks may still have a chance of happening. PIX 11 reports that NYC lawyers will get another chance to state their case for the ban on high calorie drinks in front of the New York State Court of Appeals. Two judges have already struck down the ban, which would put a 16-ounce limit on high-calorie soft drinks.

Unfortunately for Mayor Bloomberg, the court likely won't review the case until next year, when Bloomberg is out of office. Front runner Bill de Blasio, who has been vocal critic of many of Bloomberg's policies, reportedly supports the ban. However, according to PIX 11, Republican candidate Joe Lhota told the NY Times that he would withdraw the appeal.
