Less than a day after a Marist College/Wall Street Journal/NBC poll was released showing Anthony Weiner taking over first place in the Democratic primary for mayor, a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday shows Christine Quinn holding onto the lead. Unfortunately, Quinn has gone from garnering 37 percent of the vote back in February to just 19 percent in the latest survey.

The Quinnipiac poll shows a tight race at the top between Quinn at 19 percent, Weiner at 17 percent, and Bill Thompson at 16 percent. Back in May, Quinn was at 25 percent with Weiner in second place with 15 percent and Thompson at a distant third with 10 percent.

The poll also shows four Democratic candidates (Quinn, Weiner, Thompson, Bill de Blasio) beating Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and Republican candidate Joe Lhota in head to head elections.
