(Brooklyn, NY) -- Josh Bailey lit the lamp 54 seconds into overtime to give the Islanders a 3-2 win against the Ducks in the home opener at Barclays Center. It was New York's first win of the season in its third try. The Isles jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Brock Nelson and John Tavares. Anaheim scored twice in the final 12 minutes of the third period to send the game to OT. Cam Fowler and Ryan Getzlaf had the tallies for the Ducks, who are 0-2-and-1. Jaroslav Halak turned away 24 shots in the victory. Anaheim's John Gibson gave up three scores on 30 attempts.
