Pitbull Talks Camila Cabello, Climate Change, and Options

Pitbull sat down with Lulu y Lala to talk about his brand new album Climate Change. Pitbull has been one of the most recognizable voices in music since his first album dropped, and it's clear with Climate Change he has no plans to slow down. He revealed that he's excited about all the amazing collaborations he was able to include on his album, including Leonia Lewis and Jason Derulo. He was particularly floored by Lewis' talent, saying she "sings like an angel."

Pitbull also spoke about his new song "Hey Ma" featuring Camila Cabello and J Balvin, which was pull from Climate Change for the Fate of the Furious soundtrack. The song opens the 8th installment of the action franchise. Pitbull considers this and "honor" and a "blessing" because the franchise helped break open his career when it featured one of his song's on the second film's soundtrack.

Pitbull spoke about what it was like to work with Cabello on the song, as well. It's an interesting point in the young pop star's career since she just left the girl group that made her a household name. He revealed he gave her advice about the roller coaster she was about to go on as a solo artist. "Play the game," he told the 20-year-old, "don't let the game play you."

Pitbull told Lulu y Lala that his favorite song off the album is "Options," as well as saying that he never gets writers' block. He's able to stay creative by being inspired by his own life. One of the reasons he is able to do this is by staying off social media as much as possible. He tries to only use it for business and sending inspiring messages to his fans. "People take so many pictures," he said of rampant social media usage, "that they miss the big picture."
