Louis Tomlinson Made Up With ZAYN Because It Was His Mother's Dying Wish

It's no secret that ZAYN's departure from One Direction was prompted by some major tension in the pop superstar group, but the drift between Louis Tomlinson and his long lost bandmate was the real deal. After engaging in a rather public Twitter spat, Louis learned that his mother had terminal leukemia and her dying wish was centered around his feud with his former bandmate.

Speaking with The Sun on Friday (July 21), the pop star, who recently dropped his new single, "Back To You," featuring Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals, shared the revelation, admitting that her intuition was always eerily on point.

"My mum said: 'You've got to get back in contact with ZAYN. Life's too f**king short.'" the 25-year-old recalled. "A mother's intuition is just fu**ing crazy. It always felt supernatural to me. My mum always knew what I was feeling and what I wanted."

Tomlinson went on to explain that he "can't stand to hold a grudge with anyone," so he did exactly what his mother wanted him to do. "It doesn't sit with me right. If there's any animosity, just clear the air. I met up with him and it was nice," he continued. "ZAYN was always good for me in the band because he was my go-to if I wanted to piss around. So after that whole thing, it was that brotherly love. We will always have that love for each other. I can't speak on behalf of him but we really care about each other."
