The Harlem Globetrotters stopped by the KTU studios to chat with Wendy Wild about setting records and their new routine.
Wendy welcomed the duo from the team, “If you’ve never seen the Harlem Globetrotters before, it’s not just basketball. It’s really so much more, it’s entertainment… maybe you can explain a little bit better.”
The two responded, “Absolutely! Even for the people who have seen us play before, whether it was last year or 20 years ago we are bringing so many new things to the table this year. We have the glow in the dark magic circle, which is part of our warm up routine. The basketball will light up, the lights will be dimmed, and the uniforms will light up. We also have the fifth quarter which allows fans to come down to the court, take a picture with us, get some autographs and interact. And we are also attempting a world record trick shot at every single game.
