Bad Bunny’s ex–girlfriend, Carliz De La Cruz Hernández has filed a lawsuit in a Puerto Rico court and is seeking at least $40 million over a voice recording she provided the singer before he became famous.
She claims she came up with the phrase “Bad Bunny, baby,” and it was used without her permission in several of Bad Bunny’s recordings, including “Pa Ti” and “Dos Mil 16.”
Carliz and Bad Bunny first became a couple in 2011, and she ended her relationship with him in May 2016.
