After the nightmare fuel story we talked about yesterday regarding the Alaska Air flight which had the door fly off and parts of the aircraft come apart mid-flight, we can add another miraculous piece to the ending of this story.
Thankfully no one was injured on Friday, when the plane was able to make a safe emergency landing. Most of the passengers were wearing their seatbelts, as the aircraft was still climbing... which is why I'll be always wearing mine on future flights.
This story though sounds like something out of a commercial:
An iPhone that was sucked out of the plane when the door panel blew -- was found! It was lying on the side of a road, still intact and functional! Somehow it was able to survive the 16,000 foot drop.
Washington resident Sean Bates posted on X over the weekend that he found the phone on the side of the road, still in airplane mode and open to a baggage claim email from the airline. He said he called the NTSB, which said it was the second phone from the plane to be found.
