Ellen Degeneres took a few minutes at the end of her show on Wednesday to pay tribute to the late Carrie Fisher. The Star Wars actress was not only a frequent guest on The Ellen Degeneres Show, but a long time friend of Degeneres, as well. With tears in her eyes, Degeneres spoke about all the things she loved about Fisher. "I loved when she was here." Degeneres said. "She made me laugh so hard. She was smart, she was funny, she was hilariously honest about herself and the world around her."
Fisher appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show for the last time just a month before her untimely passing. In her final appearance on the talk show, the candid actress gave life advice to audience members in a segment called "Carrie Fishing For Answers." One guest asked what advice Fisher would give her 30-year-old self, and Fisher hilariously responded "don't do any of the things you're thinking about doing."
After Ellen's touching words about her friend, she showed a video montage of Fisher's appearances on the show. From running around Hollywood Boulevard giving out Star Wars tickets to talking about her relationship with her mother Debbie Reynolds, Fisher sure knew how to make Degeneres laugh. The talk show host ended her touching tribute with a simple, yet meaningful few words "I miss you, Carrie. I love ya."
