2-Year-Old Lost A Race Because He Just Wanted To Go Hug His Dad

Little Runner Just Wanted To Hug His Dad

An adorable two-year-old boy in Nigeria may have lost a running race, but he won something much better – his dad's heart.

In a tweet that has since gone viral, Imo Umoren shared a photo of his little boy and wrote, "My son finished 4th in the race because instead of running across the finish line, he ran to hug me. Ah, well, won my heart."

Umoren said it was his son's first race and he got off to a good start, but after noticing his dad on the sideline taking pictures, the boy changed course and gave him a running hug.

The tweeted photo has been liked more than 13,000 times.

The toddler had a chance to redeem himself in a later race and finished 3rd.
