Here's Why Women Wore White To Trump's Speech

Many people were wondering why so many women at Trump's first Congressional address were wearing white. It turns out that some Democratic women decided to wear white as an nod to the sufragettes from the women's rights movement. Nancy Pelosi sent out a tweet with her fellow democratic women explaining their choice of clothing.

This isn't the first time people have used clothing as a form of protest recently. Some celebrities wore blue ribbons at the Oscars to show support to the ACLU, as well. It seems like this is a growing trend right now. Whether or not you agree with their sentiment, it's clear these women were making a true fashion statement. (See what we did there?!)

President Trump's speech was his first time addressing Congress. According to CBS, viewers strongly approved of his freshman Congress address.
