Charity Group Provides Dental Services For The Less Fortunate
Since 2011, a group of volunteers in Norfolk, Virginia, have been helping those less fortunate with dental services.
The goal of Park Place Dental Clinic is to make it possible for those who can't afford to get cavities filled or get their teeth cleaned to still have beautiful smiles.
So instead of charging hundreds – if not thousands – of dollars, this group of talented medical professionals do the work for very little money.
For only 25, Park Place Dental Clinic provides teeth cleanings, fillings, and extractions for the homeless, low-income families, and the uninsured.
More than 90% of the staff are volunteers, from resident doctors to students at a school of hygiene. Everyone plays a major role, especially people who donate the money through charity campaigns to keep things rolling.
