According to the meme's creator, Poot was "Demi's twin sister. She was locked in a basement her whole life. This picture was taken the first time she went outside."
At the time, Demi wasn't a big fan of Poot. She tweeted her disapproval saying "cool to see a shitty angle turn into a meme that circulates the internet to people's amusement." It seems the pop star has changed her mind about Poot, though, because she tweeted out a hilarious gif this morning.
