It's no secret that Zayn Malik is a mama's boy. He frequently talks about the strong relationship he shares with his mother, often mentioning how much he loves her cooking. Trisha Malik opened up a new beauty salon in Bradford, England, so her son sent her a beautiful bouquet of flowers to congratulate her. It wasn't just Zayn's name on the card, though. Trisha took a snap of the lovely flowers and posted it to her Instagram account, writing "from my sonshine and Gigi...love them." Soon after the picture was posted, Zayn's mom made her Instagram account private. So, what happened that caused Trish to go private?! It seems like some fans think she was throwing shade at Zayn's ex Perrie Edwards.
Fans of Zayn and Gigi obviously went crazy for the Instagram photo, commenting on and liking the snap of the bouquet. It seems that Trisha went through and liked some of the comments, which is where things went south. According to Seventeen, Trisha liked a comment that threw shade at Perrie. The comment in question read:
Pls he broke up with her [Perrie] for a reason. Also 'I think he knew she don't love me'...says a lot. Also she basically admitted to never loving him and the way she's been acting about him says a lot. And Gigi knows that Zayn needs support and praise bc of his anxiety. she's always there for him and the way she talks about him with so much love and admiration while all P [Perrie] could say is to call Zayn a freak
Yikes. That definitely doesn't look good, which is why Little Mix fans started calling out Zayn's mom.
Trisha was quick to explain the situation, though, calling it a mistake. She responded to the comments saying that she unnecessarily dragged Perrie into this situation, writing:
I honestly don't have anything against Perrie, I never have n I never will. This is the reason I don't come on to social media, because everything u do always gets blown up in to some big drama. I didn't like this comment ,I must of pressed it by mistake as I was going through them, so please don't say things about me that r not true.
After responding that she accidentally liked the comment about Perrie, Zayn's mom made her Instagram account private. It seems like everybody's worst nightmare came true for Trisha Malik. Accidentally liking something on Instagram is truly a nightmare, especially when your son is one of the most famous pop star's in the world.
