The Best State for Women to Live in May Surprise You

Have you ever thought up packing up and moving somewhere completely new? Well, now might be the time to do just that...especially for women. MoveHub conducted a study to find out which U.S. state offers the best quality of life for women, according to Refinery29. This new study collected data from every single state, including stats on the pay gap, political representation, education quality, access to health insurance, and more. They ranked each issue and combined those rankings to determine an overall score for each state. Based on this method, MoveHub determined that the best state for women to live in is Hawaii!

It's not only that Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places in our country, but it offers the highest quality of life for women. One of the biggest reasons Hawaii is the best state for women in the U.S. is that only 6% of the female population is without health insurance. As reported by Refinery29, that's one of the lowest figures throughout the United States. It also has one of the lowest rates of women being murdered by men. Not being murdered is definitely top of the list when determining where to move.

If Hawaii just isn't your thing, some other states scored well on MoveHub's scale.  Some close contenders for the number one spot were Vermont, Minnesota, Illinois, and Maryland. The states that faired the worst, however, were Oklahoma, Louisiana, Utah, Mississippi, and South Carolina.

So, who's ready to pack it up and move to Hawaii now?!
