New Jersey Man Proposes To Girlfriend Immediately Following Marathon

All during the grueling 26.2 miles of the New Jersey Marathon, Jared Cicero was secretly planning to propose to his girlfriend, Tayler Gerchak, who was running beside him, after the race.

About six miles shy of the race's finish; Jared developed a leg cramp and had to walk the rest of the way. His soon to be fiancé Tayler stayed with him the entire time. Family and friends were waiting at the finish line so they could watch the proposal happened. They originally thought they would finish the race in under 4 hours so the family was wondering where they could be.

90 minutes later the couple walked across the finish line, having both completed the race with a time of 5:06:02. (which is still a really good time) Although he was exhausted, Jared immediately got down on one knee and popped the question. The couple kissed and hugged in front of friends as well as strangers who cheered them on.

Phoebe Kannisto is raising six boys who were growing their hair to donate it to kids who’ve lost theirs because of cancer.

Last week, Phoebe took the boys to a local hair salon for their haircuts. In total, the family got rid of 17 feet of hair and donated it to Children with Hair Loss.

Phoebe said the boys were happy to help and everyone was surprised by how each of them grew hair at different rates. But, they stuck together and waited until they all had reached the minimum length for donations.

Phoebe is proud that her sons want to help other children and they all have started making predictions on how long it will take them to grow their hair out to donate again.
