After a terrible fire broke out in Wheeling, West Virginia, a group of people wanted to make sure such a tragedy didn’t strike again, so they formed a group to do something about it.
Thanks to the hard work of the members, the Ohio County Alliance for Fire Preparedness Organization recently donated and installed 150 smoke detectors to families in the area, starting with families who have students attending a local elementary school.
One of the group’s leaders is proud of how the community came together to help their neighbors and will continue to volunteer their time and money to get smoke detectors in as many houses as possible in the months and years to come.
