World Cares Center Iron Skillet Cook Off

Don’t miss your chance to attend the culinary event of the year… The Iron Skillet® Cook Off, this September 18th at 7PM at Federal Hall National Memorial!

The Iron Skillet® Cook Off is a competition in which a firehouse chef from each of NYC’s boroughs teams up with a celebrity chef to battle it out for best dish, inspired by the selflessness of restaurant chefs like David Bouley who donated their time and resources to feed first responders in the aftermath of 9/11. Funds raised at the Cook Off go to serving WCC’s mission of empowering communities to safely and effectively prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters by training them with the skills needed to deploy as a team to support our first responders—like the FDNY—who put their lives on the line.

In addition to World Cares Center’s partnership with iHeartMedia, other sponsors include Brooklyn Brewery, Sugar in the Raw, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Newmark Knight Frank. Other sponsors include The New York Giants, The NY Rangers, Chef David Bouley’s Brushstroke, La Boîte Biscuits & Spices, and several others. Our restaurant chefs and firehouse chefs are all booked and ready to compete. To judge the winner, we have former NFL athletes Thomas Huff, Freeman McNeil and Plaxico Burress, Stanley Cup champion Grant Marshall, WPIX-11 personalities Kirstin Cole, Lisa Mateo and Dan Mannarino, Fox 5 correspondent Jennifer Lahmers and actor Tony Lo Bianco as celebrity judges.
