Luke Bryan and his rowdiest of friends have been on a nationwide tour to ask a serious headlining question. “What Makes You Country?”
The "This Is How We Roll" singer never expected to find his answer in the Hollywood hills, however, that is exactly what happened on Saturday night.
As throbbing baselines sent rivets of energy through the massive crowd entering Dodger Stadium, Bryan was backstage gearing up to play his two-hour party-style show. He intentionally picked out his best Dodger’s jersey and placed a calculated cooler of beer onstage to share with thirsty fans who would be raging in the pits.
Bryan’s game plan for entertaining the iconic 56,000 seat baseball stadium was nothing less than, “Never stop moving and never stop smiling.”
The four-time Entertainer of the Year did just that as he permeated the stadium with hit after hit in a synergetic call and response with California’s country music fans. His hip shaking, party rocking, energy was felt from the first row to the very last seat.
The crowd was wild, Bryan was drenched in sweat, Dodger Stadium was SOLD-OUT and history was made.
Luke Bryan’s What Makes You Country Tour XL Stadium Sized Tour was the first-ever country music headlining show to ever sell out the iconic LA stadium and the dynamite event certainly answered the initial question of "What makes you country?" Country fans come from every part of the world. They are as inclusive as the midwest fields are vast. They are as steady as concrete grounded cityscapes. So, what makes someone country? Life and love.
The slick 2Pac lyrics found in “California Love” could have never truly prepared Luke Bryan for a recording breaking Saturday night, but he left that stage feeling happily exhausted and realizing that, “California knows how to party.”
Bryan went directly to Instagram with a heartfelt post stating, "Dodger Stadium changed my life tonight. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here. "
The “My Kinda Party,” singer will be bringing his wildly talented line up which features Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi and Morgan Wallen to Denver on August 4th and St. Louis on August 25th.
