Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, returned to court in Boston earlier this month after pleading not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, honest services mail and wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit money laundering. The couple faces 40 years in prison if found guilty. As their legal battle continues, sources claim Loughlin and Gianulli are also struggling to make their marriage work.

“Their daughter Bella is extremely concerned they’re going to get divorced,” an insider told Us Weekly. According to the source, the couple has been privately fighting more and more as their legal proceedings carry on. They reportedly "butted heads" over whether they should fly private from L.A. to Boston for their most recent court appearance. “The couple was advised by their lawyers not to,” Us Weekly's source explained. "Mossimo insisted, saying it would be a ‘zoo’ if they flew commercial.”

Their marital discord reportedly began after Mossimo convinced Loughlin to reject the plea deal they were offered back in April. The plea deal would have required minimal jail time and while “Lori was inclined to take the deal" her husband "said it would ruin both of their careers.” Loughlin has faced professional fall out since the college admissions scandal came to light. She was fired from Netflix's Fuller House, as well as from all her roles on the Hallmark Channel.

Loughlin's friends reportedly a split from Giannulli. “Her friends think she should leave him,” another insider spilled to Us Weekly. “But Lori refuses and says the ordeal has made them stronger.”

According to an another source close to the 54-year-old actress, Loughlin “has asked her lawyer to negotiate a plea deal that would involve no jail time, but home confinement with monitoring via ankle monitor." The insider also revealed Loughlin is “willing to pay a substantial fine, over $2 million.” Unfortunately for Loughlin and Giannulli, the possibility of getting a plea deal with no jail time at this point seems unlikely. The insider added “any deal would involve significant jail time.”
