The coronavirus changed a lot of aspects of everyday life and how we interact with each other. The Bryne family did not want to miss out on celebrating Kathleen Byrne's 95th birthday. But surrounding coronavirus concerns, the family had cancelled their birthday plans last weekend.
As a solution, her family showed up on the edge of her lawn to sing her happy birthday and celebrate with her.
Kathleen’s grand daughter, Sara, posted the video above of the family holing up “Happy Birthday’ letters and singing to Kathleen. The caption on her Instagram post read, “"We had to keep our distance but we couldn’t not see our best girl on her birthday!!! Happy 95th Gram we love you SO much!!!”
After the song is over a smiling Kathleen said, "Oh, I love it. Thank you," from her spot on the doorstep. "I'm sorry we aren't all together."
In a CNN report Sara stated. "We wanted to show up for her to make her feel special on her big day no matter what."
