Vanessa Bryant opened up about how sheâs coping with her grief since losing her husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant almost a year ago.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Friday (January 15), Vanessa reflected on the âcluster of emotionsâ sheâs been experiencing amid the loss, including suicidal thoughts, and urged fans to find their reason to live.
"Let me be real - Grief is a messed up cluster of emotions. One day you're in the moment laughing and the next day you don't feel like being alive," she shared. "I want to say this for people struggling with grief and heartbreaking loss. Find your reason to live. I know it's hard."
âI look at my daughters and I try to push through that feeling for them,â Vanessa added, speaking of her and Kobeâs surviving daughters: Natalia, 17, Bianka, 4, and Capri, 1. âDeath is guaranteed but living the rest of the day isn't. Find your reason."
As many know, Vanessaâs emotional message comes less than two weeks before the one-year anniversary of Kobe and Giannaâs deaths. The father-daughter pair lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on January 26, 2020.
In the time thatâs passed since losing her husband and daughter, Vanessa has used her social media platforms to honor Kobe and Gigi on anniversaries and birthdays.
On Christmas, the matriarch paid tribute to Kobe and Gigi with the unveiling of her first family Christmas card without them. âAlways Together, Never Apart Together Forever In Our Hearts. â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž Kobe, Vanessa, Natalia, Gianna, Bianka and Capri,â she wrote at the time.
