Covid Forces East Harlem School To Go All-Remote

PS 79 in East Harlem is going all-remote because of an outbreak of Covid cases at the school.

School has only been in session for a week, but already the school has reported more than a dozen cases. As a result, in-person learning has been suspended and remote learning will be in place until September 28th.

The outbreak has caused United Federation of Teachers President Michael Mulgrew to call on Mayor de Blasio to increase testing for students and staff at schools across the city.
