Wayne Brady Opens Up About Life, Love and La Cage aux Folles

Wayne Brady may be one of the busiest people in entertainment, but when we caught up with him at KTU, he made it clear that passion is what keeps him going. Between hosting television shows, performing on Broadway, recording music, writing books, and raising a family, Brady says the secret isn't juggling everything at once, it's making time for the things he loves.

Currently starring in La Cage aux Folles alongside Billy Porter, Wayne shared why the role feels especially meaningful at this stage of his life. Drawing from his own experiences as a father and his journey of self-discovery, he believes the show's message of love and acceptance is more relevant than ever.

Beyond the stage, he revealed a side many fans may not know: he's an avid gamer, a longtime sci-fi writer, and is preparing to release a new time-travel novel, Hard Times, in January. He also reflected on the importance of authenticity, saying that embracing his true self has made him a better performer, father, and person.

As for what's next? More Broadway, more television, a Christmas album, a new pilot, and even a theater company with his daughter. At 54, Wayne says he feels wiser, more focused, and more excited than ever about what's ahead.

If there's one thing Wayne Brady proves, it's that success isn't about doing everything, it's about making room for the things that matter most.
