The Rock Has Spoken To Politicians About Running For President

Will Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson add “Leader of the Free World” to his resume? At this point, we’re not sure. As we told you, a Pipslay poll taken earlier this year found that 46 percent of over 30-thousand people surveyed said they’d be on-board with him as president. Now, he’s says he’s considering it. In a cover story for the November issue of Vanity Fair, the wrestler-turned-action star confirmed that he’s not ruling out the possibility. He’s spoken to people in politics and done some “research and analysis” to see what it could look like in the future. At this point, he says that the indicators are positive for run in either 2024 or 2028. But before you print your “Smell What The Rock is Cooking Up for America in 2024” shirts, consider this – he’s realistic about the situation. “At the end of the day, I don’t know the first thing about politics. I don’t know the first thing about policy. I care deeply about our country. I care about every [freaking] American who bleeds red, and that’s all of them,” he noted. “And—there’s no delusion here—I may have some decent leadership qualities, but that doesn’t necessarily make me a great presidential candidate. That’s where I am today.”
