We’re going to find out how well Tom Brady can take a joke. The man who’s the first name mentioned when discussing the greatest quarterbacks of all time has signed a massive $375M deal with Fox Sports that will go into effect as soon as his playing days are over, but one of the first projects, after he retires, is a roast.
The 44-year-old Mr. Gisele Bundchen will be the roastee on a Netflix comedy special titled “Greatest Roasts Of All Time;” he’ll serve as executive producer for his roast and future roasts as well. In a statement after the deal was announced, Brady said, “To quote my good friend, Marshawn Lynch…’I’m just here so I won’t get fined.’”
Robbie Praw, Netflix’s vice president of stand-up and comedy formats, said in his own statement: “We can’t wait to burn three-time Super Bowl-losing quarterback Tom Brady, who only went back to the NFL to delay this roast.” The roast will be filmed after the 2023 NFL season.
