Pharrell continues to give back to students and grads.
Earlier this month, he announced plans to hook up Washington D.C. public school grads with tickets to his Something in the Water festival. And late last week, he surprised five HBCU students and recent grads by squashing their debt. He revealed the good deed while appearing on an NAACP panel about the student debt crisis among Black students at the St. Regis hotel.
NAACP President Derrick Johnson used the moment to call upon President Joe Biden to address Americans plagued by student debt in a larger and even more meaningful way.
