Beyonce recently released a four-song EP of “Break My Soul” remixes. Well, apparently she was holding back, because she just released another remix of the track, this time featuring none other than Madonna.
“Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” basically has Bey mashing up her tune with Madge’s “Vogue,” and whereas Madonna shouts out such classic stars as "Greta Garbo and Monroe / Dietrich and DiMaggio / Marlon Brando, Jimmy Dean,” Bey calls out her influences in the spoken word section, sharing "Queen Mother Madonna, Aaliyah, Rosetta Tharpe, Santigold, Bessie Smith, Nina Simone, Betty Davis, Solange Knowles, Badu this, so Kelly Rowl ...”
The tune wasn’t originally streaming anywhere and to get “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” fans had to purchase it for $1.29 on Bey’s online shop.
