Recent reports claimed Elton John recorded a song with Britney Spears, and now Elton has confirmed it.
The singer announced on social media the new tune, “Hold Me Closer,” which is said to be a remake of his classic tune “Tiny Dancer.” He shared the artwork for the track, which features a rose for Britney and a rocket ship for Elton. While he did not reveal a release date, reps for both singers say it will be released in the coming days, with some rumors suggesting we’ll get it Friday.
The pair reportedly recorded the song last month in Beverly Hills, along with producer Andrew Watt. The song will be the first new music Britney has released since the end of her conservatorship.
