“Emancipation” Filmmaker Set To Direct Michael Jackson Biopic

Filmmaker Antoine Fuqua is set to direct a biopic about Michael Jackson. Deadline reports Fuqua will begin production work on "Michael" later this year. His credits include "Training Day," "The Equalizer" films and last year's Will Smith led "Emancipation." Fuqua said combining film and music is part of who he is as he started his career directing music videos. Lionsgate will distribute the film and it will center on some never-before-told stories and be more in depth than he was previously portrayed.
