Ed Sheeran decided to make a pit stop before his big show at Mercedes-Benz stadium in Georgia Saturday night. The megastar surprised customers at SweetWater Taproom in Atlanta, serving drinks and playing songs.
Out in the beer garden, Sheeran serenaded the crowd with songs from his new album, “Subtract,” and if that wasn’t enough, he announced to the delighted crowd that he was picking up their drink tabs. The brewery gratefully posted on their Facebook page, “We couldn’t think of a better way to get the holiday weekend started than with some hops and harmonies with Ed!”
And because good things often happen to good people, Sheeran announced later he had set a new attendance record at “The Benz” with 76,355 fans in the stadium that night.
