Taylor Swift has her biggest album yet.
Reputation sold over 700,000 copies on the first day, Friday November 10.
Industry insiders predict at least 1.5 million albums sold in its first week. Taylor’s label hinted that 2 million is within the realm of possibility.
As a comparison, the biggest seller so far in 2017 has been Ed Sheeran’s Divide. Total sales have yet to reach 1 million even though he released 8 months ago, in March.
Three years ago, Taylor’s 1989 album sold 1.3 copies in its first week. Billboard magazine reports that she’s the only musical artist with “three different albums selling a million copies in a week.” Reputation will be her fourth consecutive million-seller.
This weekend was her first live performance of two songs off 'Reputation'. She did "...Ready For It" and "Call It What You Want"!
