Aretha Franklin is in the hearts and prayers of the music world. Last night, Beyoncé honored the Queen of Soul at the start of the On The Run II concert in Aretha’s hometown of Detroit.
Beyoncé dedicated the night to her and said “We love you and thank you for all the beautiful music.”
Aretha and Beyoncé have history. Ten years ago, at the Grammys, Aretha took offense to Beyoncé calling Tina Turner “The Queen.” Aretha called it a “cheap shot for controversy.” They eventually made up. DJ Khaled also started a sing along to "RESPECT".
