Lady Gaga Apologizes for R. Kelly Collaboration

Lady Gaga badly wants an Academy Award nomination for A Star Is Born.

So, she’s rapidly cleaning up her problematic past, including a tone-deaf collaboration with – of all people – R. Kelly.

She issued an apology via Twitter “I’m sorry, both for my poor judgement when I was young, and for not speaking out sooner.”

In 2013, five years after R. Kelly escaped conviction on multiple child pornography charges, Lady Gaga recorded “Do What U Want With My Body.” An unfortunate chorus to sing with an accused serial sexual abuser.

They performed at the 2013 American Music Awards on a set resembling the White House Oval Office. “President” R. Kelly stood on top of the desk straddling Lady Gaga and play-acted unzipping his pants. YECH!
