Michael Jackson Mural Pops Up In The East Village

A huge Michael Jackson mural has popped up in the Lower East Side section of New York City.  It is located on 11th street and 1st avenue. The mural features Michael’s face split, half as a child and half an adult. It was created by famous Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra. He has painted around 500 murals in over 17 countries around the world. We are sure thankful for this beautiful masterpiece he has brought to NYC.

The celebration of Michael Jackson continues  August 25th,  with Spike Lee throwing his eighth annual “Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson Block Party.” It is a free event that will be held on Stuyvesant avenue between Lexington avenue and Quincy Street, from noon to 7PM.  Will you be attending?
