Kit Harington Is Reuniting With His 'GoT' Brother In A New Marvel Movie

Marvel fans have been receiving all kinds of surprises at Disney's D23 Expo this weekend, including the release date for Black Panther II, and now Game of Thrones fans have something to be excited about, too. On Saturday (August 24), it was announced that Kit Harington (aka Jon Snow) would be joining the cast of The Eternals alongside his onscreen brother/cousin/fellow King of the North Richard Madden (aka Robb Stark). Harington is set to play a character named Dane Whitman and Madden is set to play Icarus. The film will also star Angelina Jolie as Thena, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Barry Keoghan as Druid, and Don Lee as the villain Gilgamesh.

As Entertainment Weekly describes, the film "centers on a race of never-aging, never-fading figures. The Eternals were created by the powerful godlike creatures known as the Celestials, and since their birth thousands of years ago, they’ve kept watch over the Earth throughout human history. (They’ve also clashed time and time again with their eternal nemeses: the Deviants, a twisted, hideous group also created by the Celestials)."

The Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 6, 2020.

In other Game of Thrones news Pedro Pascal, who played the Red Viper, is set to star in The Mandalorian, a new Star Wars television series that centers around a "lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy."
