Heather Krueger was only 25 when she was diagnosed with liver disease. Doctors gave her shot at living more than 2 months only a 50% chance. Although this story starts in a very dark place, it has a happy ending.
Former marine, Chris Dempsey overheard a co-worker saying his cousin was in desperate need of a liver transplant. Although he had never met Heather, Chris met the qualifications to be a donor and decided to do what he believed was the right thing. He called Heather to tell her he was a match and soon after, the transplant took place... Chris donated half of his liver and the surgery was a success!
As they both recovered, their relationship evolved. Chris proposed and Heather accepted and the two were married earlier this month.
'You are the most incredible man I have ever known,' Heather told Chris in her vows.
