The Kosciuszko Bridge is going out with a bang.
State officials announced plans on Wednesday to collapse the approaches to the 77-year-old span sometime this summer as work progresses on the two new bridges that will replace it.
If you're a local, you know that even during non-rush hours you can sit on that thing for a long time as all the lanes take turns merging. Twitter's reaction to the road update is nothing short of hysterical:
Guys they're gonna blow up the old Kosciusko bridge this summer and I really wanna be a witness 😹😹😹😹I hate that thing #nyc— CATastrophic 🐯🎧 (@LePetitChatNYC) February 23, 2017
The Kosciusko Bridge has been the bane of my existence for the past 5-6 years and I'm not joking I really am going to celebrate it dying— Seamus (@30000MONKIES) February 22, 2017
