'Dunkirk' Director, Christopher Nolan Had No Idea Who Harry Styles Was

It's funny that this is in the news today.  I FINALLY saw Wonder Woman over the weekend and during the previews, the trailer for Dunkirk was shown.  Immediately I said to my date: 'Oh this is the movie that Harry Styles is in.'

His response: 'Well he must be a good actor because Christopher Nolan wouldn't cast someone bad.'  My date KNOWS movies.  Then this:

Nolan's direct quote:

“I don’t think I was that aware really of how famous Harry was,” Nolan said on Friday (July 7). “I mean, my daughter had talked about him. My kids talked about him, but I wasn’t really that aware of it. So the truth is, I cast Harry because he fit the part wonderfully and truly earned a seat at the table.”

Good for Harry!  It should be interesting to see the outpouring of teen girls in theaters for Dunkirk.
