According to the White House Press Secretary - The Jones Act has been lifted, which went to effect as of this morning.

The Jones Act required products shipped between U.S. ports to be moved by American-owned ships.  The act unfortunately has been blocking/delaying Puerto Rico's access to much-needed supplies after being ravaged by Hurricane Maria last week.

This decision comes after much criticism that the White House was not doing enough to aid the Island.
