A new law went into effect at the start of the month in an upstate-NY community, just north of Buffalo. According to it, from The New York Daily News:
Parents could be fined $250 and sentenced to 15 days in jail if twice in a 90-day period their child under 18 violates the city’s curfew or any other city law, including bullying.
WHAT?!
To all my parent friends, is this too harsh? Bullying is definitely NOT OK, but jail time for the parents? Some parents really struggle with not-so-well-behaved kids but they're trying. I'd love to know your thoughts on this.
