No surprise here, but a new survey by Common Sense Media has found that teens would rather text than talk.
Now, I'm not a teen but I will say this. If my phone actually rings... my immediate response is 'What's wrong?!' -- Well unless it's my Nana or a gentleman caller, hehe.
According to this study, 35 percent of 13- to 17-year-old said they would rather text someone than communicate face-to-face, while 32 percent still preferred in-person communication.
16 percent said they like to communicate through social media. Speaking of social media, the same survey found that Snapchat is the go-to social media app for teens. 41 percent use Snapchat compared to 22 percent who use Instagram and just 15 percent who use Facebook. (Moneyish)
