Diplo took time out of his busy schedule to stop by the KTU studio and chat with me and I am even more amazed with him than I was before! I just don't know how he does it! It's crazy how many projects Diplo is working on at any given moment. Right now, he is gearing up for a Major Lazer tour around Africa, promoting Silk City after dropping "Electricity" featuring Dua Lipa and Mark Ronson, AND he is working on the LSD project with Sia and Labrinth. He has quite the impressive resume!
Diplo has worked with basically every artist under the sun and every project he does just gets better and better! I asked him what it was like working with Dua Lipa for their new record "Electricity." He revealed: "Dua Lipa was actually the fourth woman to write on the record, but she was the voice that we were like ' we want her more than anybody.' We wanted her voice on the record. She has a full deep voice that works in house music the best - for that classic sound." I couldn't agree more! Her voice gives me ALL the chills.
Diplo has been all around the world so I just had to ask where is favorite place to visit is. Take a guess! Hint: it is a city in the United States....
