This Will Make You STOP Refrigerating Tomatoes Right Now

I don't know about you but I LOVE a juicy ripe tomato! I like to dip them, cook with them, eat them in my salad.  Do you keep yours in the fridge though?  After reading this, you may decide to leave them on the counter instead.  

Sure keeping anything in the fridge expands its shelf life... but according to new research: 

from the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, when a tomato’s environment drops below 68 degrees, the genes responsible for making it taste like a tomato get turned off.
